Ahead of what many believe will be a record Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping season, TikTok Shop has announced that its campaign will begin a few weeks before BFCM weekend. In the announcement of its campaign, TikTok Shop also mentions some trends shaping the holiday shopping season and provides some details about what shoppers can expect.
By starting its campaign early, TikTok Shop is going after early-bird buyers, and is also putting pressure on other retailers who may not start until later. The move aligns with shopper behavior this year, and spreading out the campaign over a longer window may also smooth out any bottlenecks.
TikTok Shop Reveals Dates for Black Friday and Cyber Monday Campaign
As ecommerce brands, platforms, and marketplaces prepare for one of the biggest sales events of the year, TikTok Shop has announced that it’s bringing back its Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign from November 11th to November 30th.
The social commerce platform, which is becoming the go-to platform for product discovery, has quickly grown into a major destination for holiday shopping, with a variety of products from both emerging sellers and major brands.
According to its BFCM announcement, TikTok Shop has expanded its product selection across categories by more than 1,200% since 2024, including items from major retailers like Best Buy, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, and more.
What Shoppers Can Expect This BFCM on TikTok Shop
People shopping on TikTok Shop during this campaign should expect to see a variety of flash sales, livestream events, bundles, discounts, deals, and promotions. The long duration of the campaign also allows for weeks of deals and may even allow for sellers to have multiple sales, discounts, or events at different points during the campaign.
But in addition to helping customers discover what to buy this holiday season and gain access to deals, TikTok Shop is also aiming to speed up delivery and ensure returns are handled with care. First, shoppers are able to look for “3-Day Delivery” badges on certain products, which shows that the item is expected to get to you within three business days.
Next, TikTok Shop’s recent partnership with Happy Returns allows shoppers to return eligible purchases at one of the approximately 10,000 Happy Returns locations across the USA, without any need for a box or label.
Trends Shaping Holiday Shopping in 2026
TikTok also outlined some trends that are shaping holiday shopping in 2026. First, luxury resale continues to grow more popular on TikTok Shop, as TikTok users in the USA are 2.5 times more likely to buy a luxury item as a gift this Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Jewelry and accessories are also trending, as 22% of U.S. TikTok users are expected to buy accessories, including jewelry, this BFCM season. Searches for things like gold jewelry and opal rings are on the rise, and sales for single IGA-certified lab diamonds more than quadrupled between May and September.
Many types of collectibles, such as trading cards, coins, figures, and squishy toys, appear to be popular holiday gifts this year, and one in five American TikTok users are expected to buy a gaming device or item this BFCM.
Our Take
TikTok Shop Going After Early-Bird Buyers
By starting its BFCM campaign early, TikTok Shop is going after early-bird buyers and those looking to get a head start on their holiday shopping. Starting the campaign early makes sense, as many BFCM shoppers are planning to shop earlier this year.
Also, holiday shopping inspiration is already gaining momentum on TikTok. For example, in September, #holidayshopping content jumped 263% month-over-month, while #fallwishlist climbed by 450%. This shows that customers are heading to TikTok early to plan out and research their upcoming purchases.
By opening this promotional window earlier and capturing this early intent, TikTok Shop is also putting pressure on other retailers. It’s also capitalizing on impulse-driven discovery and stretching impulse purchases over a few weeks rather than pushing all the demand into a tiny window, which could possibly smooth out fulfillment and inventory-related bottlenecks.
