With many purchase journeys taking place on Reddit, the company is helping ecommerce businesses and retailers reach customers more easily with new shopping tools. These tools will enhance the Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) experience, and the company also announced new Shopify integration on the platform.
Improving the Dynamic Product Ads Experience on Reddit
In a recent announcement on the company’s official corporate website, Reddit revealed that it’s launching several new shopping tools to improve the Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) experience on the platform.
This is being done in an effort to help ecommerce brands and retailers more easily and effectively reach the many consumers and potential shoppers who use Reddit as a part of their purchase journey.
Reddit has gained plenty of momentum in the shopping space recently, as the platform has seen a 40% year-over-year increase in the number of high-intent shopping conversations taking place there.
The announcement also shares that 84% of shoppers on the platform feel more secure in their purchases after researching products on Reddit, and that businesses that scaled their investment in Reddit saw both cost per purchase and return on ad spend increase (ROAS).
Improve Discovery With Collection Ads
The first of the newly-introduced tools is Collection Ads. These let companies lead with lifestyle hero images paired with shoppable product tiles in one carousel, which links discovery and purchase. This helps brands show up in more creative and compelling ways, right when consumers are making potential purchase decisions.
While the tool is obviously brand new, Reddit said that early advertisers following the company’s best practices with Collection Ads are seeing an 8% improvement in ROAS.
Community and Deal Overlays
The announcement also said that Reddit is testing Reddit-unique Community and Deal overlays, which bring Reddit content into the ads experience.
Specifically, Community overlays indicate and flag products that are already organically popular on Reddit, while Deal overlays automatically display sale pricing and discounts on the ads, without any manual work from the brand, by simply taking the data from the advertiser’s product catalog.
Integration With Shopify
Near the end of the announcement, Reddit also states that the company’s new integration with Shopify is now in the alpha stage. This integration is going to simplify catalog and pixel setup, which allows for a much more streamlined onboarding process, as these are among the most demanding parts of setting up DPA campaigns.
Using Shopify on Reddit, businesses are automatically able to identify which products to show to the right user, and in the right context, to achieve desired results and outcomes. This move follows a similar integration that Reddit rolled out with WooCommerce late in 2025.
While these tools and the integration with Shopify are new and some are still in testing, they have the potential to help ecommerce brands dramatically improve their advertising efforts on Reddit.
